ggRock Scheduler

This feature allows users to schedule a machine to Turn on, Restart or Shutdown. This also allows users to easily switch between their local drives powering the PCs and ggRock taking over during PXE boot - both per machine and globally.

 

 

Click the "Scheduler" from the side menu of the ggRock UI.

 

 

 

The Scheduler page will show the machines available and the options  you can assign to your machines

 

Turn on  - boots up the machine

Restart - restarts the machine

Shutdown - shutdown the machine

ggRock  - PXE boot the machine

Local Disk - boot the machine via local drive

 

New Event -  Lets you create an event manually instead of dragging and dropping the icons.

 

Creating a new action or by dragging the icons to the timeline. Opens the New Action window

Target - Lets you select the machine that needs to be scheduled

Start Date - Lets you set the start date of the schedule

Action Time - Lets you set the time for the selected action

Repeat Schedule - Enabling the repeat toggle button will let you select repeat schedule from Daily, Weekly, Monthly of even custom repeat schedule

 

Creating a New Boot Mode Override or by dragging the icons to the timeline. Opens the New Boot Mode window:

Target - Lets you select the machine that needs to be scheduled

Start Date - Lets you set the start date of the schedule

Start Time - Lets you set the start time for the selected action

Start Action - Lets you select an action based on the machines state during Start Time

End Time -   Lets you set the end time for the selected action

End Action - Lets you select an action based on the machines state during End Time

Repeat Schedule - Enabling the repeat toggle button will let you select repeat schedule from Daily, Weekly, Monthly of even custom repeat schedule

Boot Mode - Lets you select to boot the machine via ggRock or its Local disk.

 

Adding A ggRock Behavior

Behaviors are defined as a collection of related entries that describe the behavior of a machine. Similar to our ggLeaps very own PC groups function. It lets you apply schedule to certain machines.

 

Select "Scheduler " from the ggRock Menu then click "New Behavior"

 

A new window will pop up and let you enter the New behavior name and select the PCs you want to add in this behavior.

 

Enter a behavior name and  select the machines you want to include in this behavior then click Save.

 

Upon Saving you will now see the behavior on your Scheduler page and clicking the drop down arrow will show you the list of machines added on this behavior.

 

Click the Behavior's Kebab Menu and you will see the following options:

Edit Behavior 

Copy Schedule

Paste Schedule

Delete Behavior

 

Edit Behavior - Let's you edit the Behavior name. I also allows you to  add or remove machines included in this behavior. 

Copy Schedule - This will let  you Copy a schedule of a certain behavior with the intention to apply it to another behavior

Paste Schedule - After copying a schedule from another behavior, the paste option should be enabled.

 

Delete Behavior - Deletes the behavior including all the schedules created under it.
